Pandemic Sunrise

Heavy smoke from raging fires caused by intense lightening storms last week. Between the hot, still days and the thick hanging smoke, the choice has been to keep the doors and windows closed and burn up, or open the windows and choke. We chose the former, mostly, bought a fan and a mini swamp cooler that was about as effective as sticking your face in the freezer, without the frosty cartons of ice cream to be tempted by ~
Morning Has Mended
Very intense storm last night - 50 knot gales coming from all directions, lightening, thunder, heavy intermittent rain, from out of nowhere, well somewhere, but not any where anyone saw coming. Woke me out of bed at 4:30 A.M.. . As dawn broke the weather calmed. With lightening still flashing over the east bay I practiced tai chi up on the roof deck, Pierre sensibly staying inside at the top of the stairs, cloud hands floating ~
